30 Kilograms is a concept book design based on a world war II survivor. The chapters are based on stories that the main character, Addy, experienced in her life time. All illustrations were created with a series of carvings and turned into patterns. The Lino Carvings are in sharp contrast to the luxurious fur cover and lace bounding. This juxtaposition of imagery represents the before and after the Germans chased Addy and her family from their home.
